Pants Store FC
Between 1924-1926 a professional team in the St. Louis Soccer League played under the name Pants Store FC. Sponsored by The Pants Store Co., and with a name that sounded like a joke from "Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy", Pants Store FC played against some of the most legendary teams of the day. They were never great, but they were always entertaining. They played their part in building American soccer into what it is today. Now you can have a piece of that history.
Based on all available research, Pants Store likely wore plain red jerseys with The Pants Store Co. logo on the front. These jerseys and accompanying scarves invoke those classic kits while having some more modern flair. The crest used is a redesigned Pants Store Co. logo that keeps the classic feel but is more like a modern crest. The patterns used are inspired by the original Pants Store Co. advertisements from the era. On the back of the kit below the collar is the slogan "Do Not Be Misled By Imitators," which was a commonly tagline in advertisements and an exhortation to modern soccer fans to love the game in your own backyard. The sleeve patch features a clock and says "The Correct Time to Buy Pants," a reference to the actual actual Pants Store Co. sign.
