Our team is named after legendary USWNT player Brandi Chastain. Her iconic sports bra changed the game for women's sports in the 1999 Women's World Cup when she ripped her shirt off after scoring the decisive penalty kick to beat China 5-4 in the World Cup Final, winning the tournament for the United States. This moment sparked what is now a continuous debate around how female athletes are depicted and treated in sports.
Our black jerseys represent power, strength, elegance, and sophistication. The design depicts this iconic image of Brandi in this epic moment, the Atlanta skyline represents our city, and rainbow undertones promote inclusivity in sport as our team believes that the soccer field is a place for all.
Money from our jersey sales will be donated to Bras For Girls, which is a nonprofit that donates new, high quality sports bras and breast development education booklets to girls in need, ages 8-18. Recipient programs include sports teams, school programs, community programs, and other initiatives elevating girls' access to sports.
