Black Diamonds

Moments etched in the beautiful game go on to live forever, much like the legacy soccer icons leave behind. These moments are everyday stories about struggle, where strength is found from within and worn just like the badge on a soccer player’s kit. As Supporters, we applaud these moments and use them as the encouragement we need to etch our own. 

The “Etched” jersey is a prismatic experience wrapped in Black Excellence, the gem logo that Black Diamonds features on its crest. These colored shards make up the top’s pattern offering. The left sleeve features the 3 Tenets of Black Diamonds: Engage, Educate, and Elevate. The right sleeve displays the Adinkra symbol Nsirewa, which means to live together in harmony. Lastly, the badge on the left chest is made of premium vinyl that is sure to last.

Launched in June 2021, Black Diamonds is a recognized Independent Supporters Group for New Mexico United. Black Diamonds was born out of the necessity to have a space for New Mexico United’s Black soccer fans and to create a more diverse soccer community by introducing the game of soccer to youth in New Mexico’s Black community. Black Diamonds became an official member of the Independent Supporters Council (ISC) on February 25, 2022.
