The 99 Balloons jersey is based off of the lyrics of the German anti-war song "99 Luftballoons", with the sponsor being a play off of the lyric from the song "Ließen keinen Platz für Sieger".
The kit has 99 balloons on it in reference to the song and the light blue is to give it the look of balloons being released into the sky similar to the start of the song, which the balloons are then misidentified as missiles, and starts a nuclear war.
This is the 3rd edition of the 50 Plus Doner jersey set, which we use to celebrate German culture and design
Note: We also recognize Nena has spread COVID hoax theories in 2021-22, we do strongly disagree with said misinformation, while strongly agreeing with the anti-war message of this song with lots of great covers.
