Part of the O&Y Kits Across America Series. 50% of sales go directly to the designer and 25% of sales go to a charity of the designer's choice in their home state.
The Indiana kit and crest are inspired by the unique characteristics of The Hoosier State. The Racing Capital of the World is the state capital, Indianapolis, and is represented by a round, wheel-like crest. Indianapolis is also highlighted at the heart of the crest with the red circle and white star, representing the city flag. The spokes of the wheel represent another state nickname, The Crossroads of America. The golden rows on the bottom of the crest mimic fields of corn and soybeans, which are two of Indiana's most important agricultural exports. The uniform features a sublimated pattern of rows, which represents both agriculture and racecars rushing around the track.
Rhett Coblentz is a lifelong Indiana resident who now resides in Indianapolis. His primary skill set is in branding and logo design, and he is passionate about helping local Indiana businesses stand out with unique and meaningful branding. He has worked with Ball State baseball, as well as Indiana Wesleyan men's basketball, as a freelance designer. You can see his work at behance.net/rhettcoblentz and find him on Twitter @rhett_cob.
25% of the proceeds will go to the Riley Children's Foundation, which aids Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis. The foundation helps provide world-class care in one of the nation's leading children's hospitals.
