Part of the O&Y Kits Across America Series. 50% of sales go directly to the designer and 25% of sales go to a charity of the designer's choice in their home state.

From the designer: For Missouri, the real challenge was encapsulating a state that feels like it has two distinct halves, if you lean heavily into arch-related imagery and focus on St. Louis, you alienate the rest of the state, but if you focus on more rural elements, you lose the largest metro area in the State. My solution was a shirt with two halves, one representing KC and the Western half of the state, and one representing St. Louis, and the eastern half of the state. The badge centers around an icon I designed to combine the iconic fountain emblem of Kansas City with the Fleur-De-Lis of St. Louis. The badge also incorporates the KC heart and the river pattern from the St. Louis flag. Unifying the state is a banner that reads “Show Me” the state nickname and unofficial Missouri motto. The shirt is split into two halves, the red half has sublimated Fleur-De-Lis patterns and represents St. Louis, while the blue half has sublimated hearts and represents KC. The back neck has an image of a Bluebird, the Missouri state bird, and the jock tag and numbers have an icon that combines St. Louis’ arch with the fountain emblem of KC.

McCabe Quast is a graphic design student currently in his junior year at the University of Kansas. McCabe has been captivated by design, particularly where it intersects with sports since a young age. He credits websites like Chris Creamer’s Sports Logos and Uniwatch for stoking his interest and hopes to go on to a career in sports design and branding. Though a student, McCabe tries to take on as much freelance work as possible and is always looking to grow his skills.
25% of the profits from this kit will go to the JDRF of Kansas and Missouri.
